Valerie Gomez

In addition to being a writer, Valerie Gomez is an art director, designer, and illustrator. Her debut novel, Cover Story, is a queer love story inspired by her experience working on magazine fashion shoots. As a writer, she strives for more Latiné representation in books, as well as relatable representation of anxiety and mental health. She recently released her follow-up novella and is currently working on her next book. Originally from Ohio, she’s lived in Phoenix, Chicago, Detroit, and New York City, and now lives in the Washington DC metro area with her husband and son.
