Marc Renson

Marc Renson is an Award Winning Author and holds a degree in Culinary Arts. He’s the chef and entrepreneur at Ambition Coffee & Eatery in Schenectady, NY. 

Marc loves food, music and Hollywood and has invited all of that into his restaurant. He was the personal chef to Bradley Cooper. Marc has appeared on CBS daytime TV The Good Dish and The Dr Oz Show. Skinny Girl and Desperate NY Housewife Bethenny Frankel made a Utube video inside his restaurant and Ambition appeared on Broadwayworld.com while the Broadway show Priscilla Queen of the Desert toured the country. He’s also fed Ryan Gosling, Alton Brown, The Cake Boss and the biggest Jeannie of the land Barbara Eden herself. Marc has worn the crown of 1998 Miss America Kate Shindle. And he’s met all three ladies from 9to5 Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. Might as well throw in he met Cyndi Lauper, KD Lang and Brandi Carlile too. Ok, ok, so he’s Popular…he’s fed Broadway Diva Glinda herself from Wicked, Kristin Chenoweth as well. 

When life threw Renson lemons, he squeezed them and wrote his first memoir, Is the Coffee Fresh? Drama, dysfunction and daily life at a downtown coffeehouse. What customers do, say and steal. Winning him 2016 Best Non-Fiction LGBTQ Author. 
Being a chef and never thinking he would write a second book, fate stepped in and a voice in his mind said, “Write a book, use Whitney Houston as a guardian angel and call it How Will I Know.”
Sounding fantastically gay and fabulous how could he say no.
